The main objective of the cooperative is to honor our products with the distinction of “Protected Designation of Origin” and “Protected Geographical Indication”. Distinctions that will certify that our products are of high standards.

A “designation of origin” is understood to be the name that identifies a product, which originates from a specific place, region or in exceptional cases a country, whose quality or characteristics are due mainly or exclusively to the particular geographical environment that includes the inherent natural and human factors, and whose all stages of production take place within the defined geographical area.

A "geographical indication" means a name that identifies a product originating in a specific place, region or country, whose specific quality, reputation or other characteristic is essentially attributable to its geographical origin and whose at least one of the production stages takes place within the defined geographical area.
